The Home-School Partnership
Working In Partnership
At Batley Parish we truly value the contribution made by our caring and supportive parents. We recognise that working with families is the key to the success of the children who attend our school. There are many ways that parents (or grandparents) can become involved in our school including:
- Family learning activities, such as the creation of our KS2 self-portrait fence and school ground tidy up sessions.
- Learning Together lessons where parents can work alongside their child and find out about the different teaching and learning strategies we employ.
- Special Events such as Sports Day, Macmillan Coffee Afternoon, Fairs and Celebrations.
- Parent workshops which have recently focused on online safety and learning phonics.
- Parent consultations.
- Family Worship, which is held most Tuesday mornings at 9:10a.a. led by Mr Sunter, Tineke Bentley, Father Martin or our different classes.
- Celebration Worship, which is held on Friday. Texts are sent out on Thursday afternoon to let you know if your child will receive a certificate on Friday.
Parent Voice
Although we can't act on every suggestion, the ciews of parents are really important to us and help us to plan our important developments. We gather feedback from many sources including feedback from events, surveys and informal converaations. Below is a sample of your views about our schol.
