Our Partnership with Parents
At Batley Parish J I N C of E School we believe strongly in developing effective relationships with parents as partners in order to enhance a child's learning and development. We take time to get to know you and your child so that we can work together to achieve the best outcomes for each child. We run weekly 'learning together' sessions where you can come and spend time learning with your child. These sessions allow you to find out how your child is learning at school and how you can extend this at home. These sessions also enable you to discuss your child's progress with a member of staff.

Parental Involvment
Stay and Play Dates
We hold regular stay and play session which allows parents to come in and join in with their childrens learning. Stay and play dates are sent out on Newsletters at the beginning of the term. Keep checking our Twitter for updates on how you can contribute to your child's learning and engage at home!
Tapestry
We track the children's learning and development using Tapestry. We add photos, observation and things that your child has done at Nursery. You will be given a parent/carer log in too. You will be able to add to your children's learning journey, send in things your child has done at home and also track their learning too!

Monthly Newsletter
Each month we send out a newsletter. This has important information about our learning, up and coming dates and lots of exciting ways that you can help at home. We send this out via the Parent Hub App. Please see a member of staff if you have any furhter questions.
Applying for School
You can apply for your child’s school place for September 2024 from September! Please use the link which will direct you to the Kirklees website with all of the information you need. We have also added the Kirklees Applications email and phone number. The application will take roughly 20 minutes to complete.
