Class Three Representatives

Class Three are proud to introduce you to our school councilors and Class governor. They work very hard to ensure that our voice is heard within school.

Things to Remember ...

In order to allow your child to access all aspects of their learning throughout the week, they need to remember these things everyday:

Book bag
Reading record book
PE kit (Tuesdays and Fridays)

Homework

Every week your child will be given English, Maths and spelling homework on a Friday. They have a homework grid in their books to track what they have completed whilst also highlighting ongoing projects that are linked to their current topics. Homework is a way of keeping you informed about what your child has been learning throughout the week, whilst also allowing them to practise methods and skills that they have been taught. We would greatly appreciate it if homework is returned for the following Wednesday so that we are able to mark and return it on time.

Class Three Learning

Stone Age Scenes

After reading the Story of Ug, we presented different scenes with our friends.

Geology Rocks

Children in class three identified properties of rocks and grouped them.

Cave Paintings

We debated why we believe Stone Age people created Cave paintings. We then replicated some of the paintings that have been found.

Stone Age Housing

We studied the development of housing throughout the Stone Age. We used our research to make our own examples.

Spanish Day

Class Three enjoyed Spanish Day as we made castanets and Sombreros. We also enjoyed making sangria and guacamole.

Remembrance Day - 100 Years

Life In the Trenches

Class 3 participated in a war workshop where we learnt many facts about the life of men and women during World War One. We practised soldier drills and looked at items that would have been used by those fighting.

Volcanic Eruptions

Class Three have read the book 'Pebble In my Pocket'. We focused on the description of the volcano presenting an image of the description we heard.

Forgiveness

As part of our Religious Education we looked at the importance of forgiveness to Christians and the many ways we are able to apologise. We made forgiveness hands to present these main reasons.
